On August 21, participants of the "Tsinghua International Youth Dialogue" began their first day of practical experience in Shenzhen. With a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship, mutual learning among civilizations, and the digital economy, they visited notable sites including Shenzhen Bay Entrepreneurship Plaza, China Merchants History Museum, Longhua City Living Room, and the Meituan Big Data Operation Center.

Practice Review
The youth representatives first visited Shenzhen Bay Entrepreneurship Plaza, where they explored the development trajectory and spatial scale of the plaza, engaged with the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Shenzhen, and learned about the local ethos of "starting a business with the party."

At the China Merchants History Museum, they delved into the history of the century-old state-owned China Merchants Group. By engaging with historical materials, they gained insights into the company’s involvement in major national strategies such as the "Belt and Road Initiative."
At the Longhua City Living Room, the participants viewed promotional videos detailing the history, development plans, and cultural heritage of the Longhua District in Shenzhen. They experienced firsthand the district's advancements in cutting-edge industries and explored how digital technology is driving its growth.

Later in the afternoon, the group visited the big data center of Meituan, a company founded by Tsinghua alumni. They experienced firsthand Meituan’s big data products and services, including drone delivery and autonomous delivery vehicles, and discussed the potential applications of data-driven models in healthcare and other sectors.

Nguyen Deng Dao, a Vietnamese representative who recently earned his master's degree from Peking University's Yenching Academy, expressed that the visit provided him with new experiences and a broader understanding of China’s economic and urban development achievements.
Natasha from the Indonesian Youth Diplomatic Association commented, "I was particularly impressed by the China Merchants History Museum! It presents the development of China's economy in a vivid manner through exhibits and English descriptions. I was truly amazed.”
Activity Planning
From August 21 to 28, the young representatives will visit various companies, research institutes, and exhibition halls in Shenzhen, Chengdu, Beijing, and other locations to explore different facets of Chinese society and culture. On August 29 and 30, they will reconvene at Tsinghua University for thematic dialogues on innovation in civilization, the development of civilizations, and mutual learning among civilizations.
Forum Introduction
The "Tsinghua International Youth Dialogue" is hosted by Tsinghua University and co-organized by Astana International University in Kazakhstan and Gajah Mada University in Indonesia. The event aims to "Empower Tomorrow's Youth and Shape the Future for the Youth," with this year’s theme being "United Youth, Shared Future." During this event, young representatives will immerse themselves in Chinese culture and discuss global issues through a combination of practical experiences and dialogues.
