Tsinghua-Chiba University Joint Master's Program
The School of Architecture and the Faculty of Horticulture of Chiba University in Japan signed an agreement on Dec. 8, 2008, for a Dual Degree Master’s Program. Each school assigns one graduate student to participate in the program every year. The project aims to cultivate excellent designers, planners, researchers, teaching staff and administrators who have the capacity to comprehensively solve problems in landscape design and planning. 1)The two universities cooperate to cultivate students together. Cross-disciplinary cultivation is encouraged. 2)Each of the universities appoints one adviser for selected students. The selected students are required to study in each of the universities for one year. Upon fulfilling degrees requirements of both universities, the students will receive both degrees. 3)The two universities promote academic interaction through regular lectures, visits and cooperation.
