11月5日，世界大学气候变化联盟（GAUC）在COP26发布《气候协同全球青年宣言》（Climate X Global Youth Declaration）。这份宣言由中美青年倡议起草、到COP15成为宣言，在全球青年零碳未来峰会期间广泛征集意见，并在颁奖仪式期间正式发布，整个过程历时月余，凝聚了全球青年应对气候变化的雄心和信念。

10月8日，清华大学和麻省理工学院共同主办“聚焦碳中和，青年在行动”中美青年对话。在这场对话中，来自中美等7个国家36所高校的71名代表就全球应对气候变化、保护生物多样性等问题展开热烈讨论，最后由清华大学研究生张可人和麻省理工学院本科生、清华大学苏世民学者艾娃·薇茨（Ava Waitz）代表中美青年发出《碳中和目标下应对气候变化与保护生物多样性青年联合倡议》（下称《倡议》）。

10月11日到10月15日，联合国《生物多样性公约》缔约方大会第十五次会议（COP15）第一阶段会议在中国昆明举办，引起社会各界的广泛关注。《倡议》起草者们意识到相对于以往的其他宣言，应当更加强调协同行动的重要性，并认为可以以保护生物多样性为抓手，主要聚焦在应对气候变化与保护生物多样性的协同行动。

加入了新思考、新感悟，《倡议》在COP15“应对气候变化（碳达峰碳中和）与保护生物多样性”生态文明主题论坛升级为《碳中和目标下应对气候变化与保护生物多样性青年宣言》。这份宣言强调青年一代是实现碳中和与保护生物多样性的中坚力量。清华大学研究生陈星安、麻省理工学院本科生清华大学苏世民学者艾娃·薇茨（Ava Waitz）在论坛上倡导全球青年“成为更好的行动者”、“成为更好的分享者”、“成为更好的研究者”和“成为更好的倡导者”。
“应对气候变化（碳达峰碳中和）与保护生物多样性”生态文明主题论坛青年宣言发布
10月25日，联盟主办的全球青年零碳未来峰会正式开幕。峰会第一周举办了学术赛道、声音赛道、行动赛道、盟校自主贡献活动和伙伴自主贡献活动共计18场。全球青年碰撞思想，深入交流气候变化协同视角下的研究与思考。受此启发，《倡议》起草者、峰会志愿者与参与者们计划更进一步，在宣言中融入峰会主题，将“协同”这一关乎零碳未来的关键词作为重点写入宣言，并计划在《联合国气候变化框架公约》缔约方大会第二十六次会议（COP26）上向全世界发布最新的青年宣言。
宣言起草者向全球六大洲四十多个国家的近千名青年发出公开信征集建议，希望聚焦于气候变化与其他可持续发展领域的协同行动，汇集全球青年的多元视角，发出青年人共同的声音。最终收到近百份反馈意见。经过修改，11月5日COP26“青年及公众赋能日”，青年代表们于中国企业角和清华大学向全球同步发布《气候协同全球青年宣言》（Climate X Global Youth Declaration）。
麻省理工学院硕士研究生柳珊、帝国理工大学博士研究生帕洛玛·阿瑞、清华大学本科生张尚辰和硕士研究生凯瑟琳.杜薇宁（Katherin Thouvenin）代表峰会参与者们鼓励全球青年响应时代号召，主动承担应对气候变化与促进可持续发展的重任，成为“更好的行动者”、“更好的研究者”、“更好的倡导者”和“更好的合作者”，为共建零碳未来和地球生命共同体贡献青年智慧和解决方案。
11月11日，宣言被转交参加COP26的所有国家谈判代表。

气候协同全球青年宣言
Climate change is a realistic, urgent, and impending crisis that dangerously threatens the environment, peace, and the wellbeing of all. At this pivotal point in history, it is our mission to fully activate the greatest potential to unlock the net-zero future. However, climate-related challenges also exist in all pillars of sustainable development, including nature deterioration, biodiversity loss, energy crisis, and environmental injustice. Therefore, Climate X emphasizes the close interconnection between climate change and other UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and requires synergistic solutions to address these challenges.
气候变化将严重威胁人类生存环境、社会稳定和文明福祉，是现实、紧迫而严峻的危机。站在未来时代的起点，我们的使命是充分动员和释放潜能，以迈向零碳未来。自然生态系统退化、生物多样性丧失、能源危机和环境不公正等问题警示我们，气候危机正在对实现可持续发展带来挑战。因此，Climate X（气候协同）强调气候变化应对与实现联合国可持续发展目标（SDGs）之间的密切联系，要求我们运用协同解决方案应对挑战。
Against this backdrop, youth cooperation to promote synergy in various fields is of vital importance. Youth generation is a major force in addressing climate crisis, and a force representing the future. Youths from all walks of life are encouraged to take synergistic actions to address climate change and other sustainable development challenges wherever they are in the world. At this critical juncture where history is about to be made, we embrace a shared vision of a net-zero future. To this end, as the young generation, we can contribute our part by the following:
在此背景下，推进各个领域协同发展过程中的青年合作至关重要。年轻一代是应对气候变化的重要力量，是一支代表未来的力量。世界各地的青年人将在各行各业利用协同方案应对气候变化与其他可持续发展挑战。站在此时此刻，站在新的起点，我们拥有零碳未来的共同愿景。为此我们将贡献自己的力量：
Be better implementors. Be more ambitious and pragmatic. Align our actions with the global net-zero target, and realize that climate crisis can be addressed in a synergistic manner to harvest multifaceted benefits and contribute to the harmonious co-existence of man and nature. Cultivate green and low-carbon awareness, lead a sustainable and healthy life, and be responsible consumers. Save energy, reduce food waste, and choose green traveling. Refrain from purchasing endangered wildlife and related products, and pursue the use of highly sustainable and durable products.
做更好的行动者。更加有雄心并更加务实。将自身行动与零碳未来目标相结合。意识到协同解决方案将促进人与自然和谐共生，使各方受益。培养绿色低碳意识，践行健康可持续生活方式，做负责任的消费者。节约能源、减少浪费，选择绿色出行方式。拒绝购买濒危野生动植物及其制品，追求使用可持续性高、耐久度高的产品。
Be better researchers. Be more creative and insightful. Proactively shoulder the momentous mission to build the net-zero future and promote sustainable development with an international perspective. Continuously sharpen our academic intuition and analytical skills. Center the climate crisis in our research, and focus on exploring the synergies and trade-offs among climate change and other SDGs. Realize that the net-zero commitments require concrete policy packages, and it’s our duty to provide academic insights for the government policymaking from the perspective of youth.
做更好的研究者。更加有创造力与洞察力。培养国际视野，积极承担建设零碳未来、促进可持续发展的重大使命。不断提高科学素养与学术品位。以应对气候危机为研究核心，重点探索如何协同应对气候变化与实现其他可持续发展目标。认识到实现全球零碳承诺需要切实政策保障，青年人有责任从自身角度为此提供科学依据支持。
Be better advocates. Be more open and inclusive. Realize that everyone should contribute their own part in the unprecedented transition to the net-zero future, and we can voice up and promote public awareness. Be aware that carbon emissions are embodied in our daily consumption, and everyone is capable of reducing their carbon footprints. Use social platforms to spread the key messages to the world, share the knowledge of climate change with people around us, and encourage them to join us.
做更好的倡导者。更加开放与包容。认识到迈向零碳未来的进展是前所未有的。构建零碳未来需要每个人的力量，我们可以努力发声，激励所有人行动起来。应当清晰认识到日常消费行为带来的碳排放，并尽力采取措施减少自身碳足迹。利用社交平台向社会传递这一重要信息、分享气候变化知识，鼓励全社会一起行动。
Be better cooperators. Be more vigorous and influential. Bear in mind the spirit of multilateralism, pursue climate equity and justice, and unite to move towards the net-zero future. Take the lead in developing youth-centered cooperation platforms or projects for achieving the global net-zero target. Contribute innovative solutions to global climate governance and international cooperation in pursuit of prosperity for all.

History entrusts us with missions and responsibilities. We, the young generations, are all facing the same crisis. We, the future leaders, must all be part of the action. Wherever we are, whatever our professions are, we share a common mission to work towards a net-zero future. Climate X reminds us that we can and must achieve Sustainable Development Goals in a synergistic manner. Let us rise to the challenges and opportunities of our times. Let us show our enthusiasm and power. Let us contribute our wisdom and solutions. Let us jointly build the net-zero future and a community of life on Earth!
