Zachary Lockman是美国纽约大学中东和伊斯兰研究教授，前北美中东研究学会(MESA）会长（2007年），专注于近现代中东的政治、经济、社会和文化史。Lockman教授曾任美国社会科学研究委员会（SSRC）和美国学术团体协会（ACLS）近东及远东联合委员会成员、Middle East Report编辑（现为特约编辑）。其代表作包括：Field Notes: The Making of Middle East Studies in the United States (Stanford University Press, 2016)；Contending Visions of the Middle East: The History and Politics of Orientalism (Cambridge University Press, second edition, 2009)；Comrades and Enemies: Arab and Jewish Workers in Palestine, 1906-1948 (University of California Press, 1996)等。
