Tsinghua-KU Leuven Joint Master's Program

Program Overview:
Katholieke Universiteit Leuven is one of the most renowned universities in Europe and the world, and its discipline leader Professor Willy Sansen is also a noted expert and scholar in microelectronics.
This dual master's program offered jointly by Department of Microelectronics and Nanoelectronics at Tsinghua University and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven is intended to address the increasing demand for talents in integrated circuit design and technology in China and aims to equip students with a solid theoretical foundation and pioneering global vision.
Started in 2008, this program has enrolled 54 Tsinghua students over seven academic years.

Program Highlights:
Training top professionals with hands-on experience and global vision. This program integrates specific requirements raised by the government on the cultivation of senior engineers in microelectronics, and launches an international platform during the process so that students are offered chances to learn from master's-level professors within the industry, learn about cutting-edge technologies and conduct research work in Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (IMEC) the largest and most advanced integrated circuit research and development center in Europe. Students can benefit not only from enhanced ability to analyze and solve practical problems in engineering design, but also from broadened sharpened creativity and global vision.
Diversified atmosphere, highlighting quality enhancement. The curriculum is adjustable based on needs, changing circumstances and preconditions. Lectures offered by experts at the industrial level give students different prospects and opinions, which can help expand their knowledge base, adopt a global vision, think creatively, enhance their comprehensive quality and solve practical engineering problems.
