2026 IEDA Summer School

Program Introduction
The Industrial Engineering and Data Analytics (IEDA) Summer School, sponsored by the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University, is a 15-day program aimed at providing participants with a general introduction to Industrial Engineering and Data Analytics, as well as a basic understanding of the systematic operation mode of Chinese industries. The program consists of courses on Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Intelligent Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, and Engineering Management, as well as practical sessions. It also includes visit significant historical sites and enterprises related to Chinese logistics and manufacturing, and digital transformation in Beijing and other cities in China. This Summer School offers a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in academics, Chinese industry, culture and society through both classroom learning and field visits.

Basic Requirements
Applicants should be a non-Chinese citizen and in their undergraduate or master studies in engineering, data science, management or other related fields.
Supporting Documents
Applicants are required to submit: 
a) A personal statement that includes a curriculum vitae, research interests, and relevant experience in the field.
b) An official enrollment certificate and academic transcript.
c) A copy of the personal passport information page.
d) For non-native English speakers or for those studying in non-English speaking countries, please provide results of an English Proficiency test (TOEFL ≥ 85 or IELTS ≥ 6.5), or provide proof of achieving at least an A grade in the First Certificate in English (FCE) from the Cambridge English Language Assessment.
