On May 30, H. E. Jesús Seade, the Mexican Ambassador to China, visited Tsinghua University. He attended the “Vision in Tsinghua, Dialogue with Ambassadors” event and delivered a speech titled "Accelerating pace of change of the world: Is education keeping up?" Prof. Yang Bin, vice president of Tsinghua University, met with H. E. Jesús Seade prior to the speech.

The Brazilian Ambassador to China, H.E.Marcos Galvão, visited Tsinghua University on May 30th, where he attended the seventh session of the “Shengyin” Lecture Series and the fifth lecture of the “Exploring Latin America and the Caribbean Countries” series as a guest speaker. He delivered a speech on the theme "Brazil-China: Constant Stability and Progress."

The Tsinghua Track and Field Team won its 15th consecutive crown in the 62nd Capital Universities Track and Field Games held at Peking University on May 11 and from May 16 to 19.

Tsinghua University recently hosted 120 MBA students from Harvard Business School’s class of 2024 for insightful and in-depth exchanges with teachers and students from the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM). Tsinghua University teams won three Outstanding Invention Awards at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, ranking first at the prestigious event.

Two outstanding scientists have been recently awarded the annual Nano Research Award which is sponsored by Tsinghua University Press (TUP) and Springer Nature. Louis E. Brus is an emeritus professor at Columbia University in New York. Moungi Bawendi is a professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Tsinghua University celebrated its 113th anniversary on April 28, hosting alumni from around the world for a weekend of reunions and many festivities.

On April 18, Tsinghua established the Department of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences, coinciding with the University’s upcoming 113th anniversary. This initiative represents a pivotal move in Tsinghua's disciplinary enhancement efforts, aligning with national strategies and human development imperatives.

Heng Swee Keat, Singapore's deputy prime minister and coordinating minister for Economic Policies, visited Tsinghua University on April 8. Qiu Yong, secretary of the CPC Tsinghua University Committee, met with Heng and his delegation. They exchanged views on deepening cooperation between Tsinghua and Singapore.

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of the Kingdom of Thailand visited Tsinghua University on April 6. During her visit, a meeting was held with Secretary of the CPC Tsinghua University Committee Qiu Yong. Princess Sirindhorn was appointed as an honorary professor of Tsinghua on the same day and engaged in discussions with representatives of Tsinghua students.

2024 United Nations Chinese Language Day and the Fourth CMG Overseas Chinese Language Video Festival kicked off on Tuesday with a call for entries from aspiring and established creators from around the world.

China's annual "two sessions"， a highly anticipated event on the country's political calendar, as the National People’s Congress (NPC) and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) have convened. This year, Tsinghua has 8 NPC deputies and 13 CPPCC National Committee members participating in the "two sessions". They will express their opinions on hot topics in various fields, such as national economic development and improvement of people's livelihood, urbanization process, financial security, technological innovation.
