Tsinghua (China), KAIST (Korea), and Tokyo Tech (Japan) formed the “TKT CAMPUS Asia Consortium” in 2011 and have worked together to promote education and research collaboration as well as faculty and student exchanges through CAMPUS Asia Project Modes 1 and 2. In Mode 3, started in 2021, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) joined the consortium as a partner university, aiming to further enhance the program.
As part of the Consortium’s activities, Tokyo Institute of Technology will offer two types of exchange programs to provide opportunities for students to participate:
1. Fall Semester Program(October 3, 2022 – February 11, 2023)
Participants will undertake an independent research project in a laboratory under the supervision of a Tokyo Tech faculty member for the entire semester. Students in this program can take courses while conducting research.
2. Fall-Winter Program(October 3, 2022 – February 11, 2023)
Participants will undertake an independent research project in a laboratory under the supervision of a Tokyo Tech faculty member. This program will run for up to 5 months from October 2022 to February 2023. Students can decide the length of their stay, based on a minimum stay of three months. However, students’ participation should be started from the beginning of each month.
BENEFITS
University tuition and related fees for this program will be waived.
Off-campus accommodation (shared house) will be provided at no charge.
A certificate will be issued to students who successfully complete the program.Tokyo Tech will also issue an official academic record to those who have taken courses.

Home university
Students must be enrolled at Tsinghua University
Year of study
Undergraduate students in their third and fourth year and graduate students at the time of participation.
GPA and English Test Score
A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 on a 3.0 scale, and at least a score of 70 on the TOEFL iBT / 650 on the TOEIC exam / 5.5 on the IELTS Overall Band.
