Overview
The 2ndTsinghua Global YouthDialogue will be held from August 19thto 30th, 2024. Thisyear’s event, themed “Harmony and Unity for the Great Common Good”, will include a combination of deep dive and dialogue. Over one hundred outstanding international youth leaders from more than 30 countries will engage deeply with various parts of China 12 days to discuss global issues and explore new paths for global youth cooperation. The youth leaders will first gather in China’s financial hub of Shanghai, then break out into separate cohorts and deep dive into provinces and autonomous regions including Zhejiang, Guizhou and Inner Mongolia, before they regroup in Beijing. During their last stop in Beijing, the youth leaders will participate in a series of exchange and dialogue activities on and off the Tsinghua campus and share their takeaways in the closing forum hosted by Tsinghua University.

Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue
Following the Deep Dives,delegateswill return to Tsinghua University in Beijing to explore more of China’s capital city and take part in the annual TGYD Forum. This event attracts university students from around the world to come together to share experiences and discuss challenges ranging from climate change, AI governance, international cooperation, and global health, with the goal of enhancing collaboration and mutual understanding.

Costs
All on-the-ground costs in China are fully funded by TGYD. The cost of traveling to and from China is borne by the participants themselves.

How long will the program last?

Do I need a visa for China?
·Some recipients will require a 'visit' visa for China. The TGYD committee will provide the letter of invitation necessary to obtain the visa. Please refer to the official information of Chinese embassies and consulates abroad for visa application.
What are the costs associated with the program?
·All on the ground costs (food, accommodation, domestic flights etc.) in China are covered by Tsinghua University.
