Tsinghua University-Tohoku University Joint Education Program
Launched in 2006, the Tsinghua-Tohoku University Joint Education Program is aimed at broadening the academic and cultural education of students from both universities so as to prepare them for international socio-economic environments. Graduate students enrolled in the program stay at the host university for one to one and a half years for study and research and then return to their home university to continue with their graduate study upon completion of the master’s degree requirements at the host university.

Tsinghua students are granted Tohoku scholarships to cover travel and living expenses.
