About the Program
The Yinghua Scholars Program looks for highly self-motivated individuals with excellent scholarly achievements and character, harboring academic interests, social commitments and humanitarian concerns.
The program aims to cultivate top talents who are devoted to theory innovation and academic research, and to help them realize their aspirations through making positive impacts on the shared future of all mankind. As one way to improve their global vision and global competencies, Yinghua Scholars will be awarded –a special scholarship to support their a one-year overseas academic study opportunity at world-leading Universities.
Value of Scholarship
The scholarship covers tuition fees at the chosen overseas university, living expenses and international travel costs. The scholarship does not include the purchase of insurances, application of passport and visa, and other personal expenses.
To Apply
Eligibility
Registered sophomore student of Tsinghua University;
With a solid foundation and potential in subject area;
Excellent in character;
Language proficiency.
Documents to Prepare for application
1. A transcript of academic records in English
2. Two letters of recommendation in university stationery
3. Two samples of academic writings concerned with the chosen courses , written in English or translated into English
4. A personal statement in English
5. A letter of approval from schools or department, in support of the student’s study plan
6. English proficiency Test to meet the requirement of the foreign university
7. A passport size photo
