PhD Program in Precision Medicine and Healthcare

Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute (TBSI) was jointly established in 2014 by University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), Tsinghua University and Shenzhen municipal government on the initiative of building a bridge across disciplines, cultures and countries, academia and industry, and an unprecedented platform for international collaboration, fostering future entrepreneurs and leaders in science and technology.
Precision Medicine and Healthcare PhD Program, based on multidisciplinary integration and corresponding advantages of Tsinghua and Berkeley, adopts the idea of integrating cultivating models between Arts, Sciences, Engineering, and Business. The program aims at training talents for multi-disciplinary research on Nano Science and Technology by exploring new detection equipment, medical devices and pharmaceutical technology, so as to address key challenges and issues in global health. Research directions including Large-Scale Systems and fundamental materials and devices will be covered.
